GENERAL FORUM RULES & NETIQUETTE

We have established the following guidelines to ensure that the discussion forums remain a fun, healthy and supportive environment.

Don’t be afraid to post!
If you are new to online participation, taking the step to post publicly for the first time can be intimidating. Don't be afraid to jump into a discussion, post a question, or share a story. We have a very supportive community at 50plus-Club. While we hope that you'll become an active participant, you're welcome to simply hang out silently until you feel more comfortable posting a message or comment.

Welcome new members
When newcomers arrive, greet them and welcome them to our growing community. Help them to find information and how to get involved.

Agree to disagree, respectfully
We invite and encourage a healthy exchange of opinions including constructive criticism. If you disagree with a member's post or opinion, feel free to challenge it. However, any challenge must be given with a sense of respect for the other person. Name-calling, other insults and attacks are not appropriate and will not be tolerated.

Be Polite to other members
We take the "DO NOT attack others" rule very seriously. Personal attacks on other members will not be tolerated. Challenge others' points of view and opinions, but do so respectfully and thoughtfully, without insult or personal attack.
Harassing, offensive, vulgar, abusive, hateful or bashing communications will not be permitted. Such communications will be removed at the moderators' discretion, and the offending user will lose his/her account and will be banned from the 50plus-Club website.

Post with only one user name
Posting under multiple member names is disruptive, particularly when it is done with harmful intent, including pretending to be another member. Users who abuse their posting privileges by repeatedly posting under multiple members name will have his/her posts removed and and will be banned from the 50plus-Club website.

Do not share personal information
We encourage you to keep personal information personal. With other words do not share your address, email address, telephone or mobile numbers on the forums!

Do not post commission, referral or affiliate links
You may not link, in any manner, to sites or images containing pornography, sexually explicit, gross violence, or are determined by moderators to be detrimental to the community. Posts containing commercial or product/service promotional messages -- included but not limited to references to internet sites, URL’s, or links to other commercial Web sites - will be removed.

We reserve the right
50plus-Club reserves the right to remove a post which, in the discretion of the moderators or site administrators, violates any of the above rules, or does not relate to the topic being discussed in the board.
