Hi all,
I've just joined this group/community and don't know much about how things things work so I'm just poking about to try and figure it all out and in doing so I came across this forum so I thought I'd give it a go.

So briefly so that I don't bore you all too much.....
I spend my life traveling between Australia (My home base) and other parts of the word (When doing new book release promo tours) as I'm a children's fiction author for my sins
I'm currently working at getting my latest book ready for publishing and release, which will hopefully be in book stores and through online book sellers in about another 4 to 5 months all things being equal but you know what they say about the best laid plans of mice and men don't you? And that's about the way it seems to work out in my business too

Anyway, I felt like a bit of time out from my work and started browsing the net for a bit of a break and somehow found my way into here, but can't quite remember how I did it, but never mind eh

OK, I better get back to my work now if I ever want to be able to meet my deadlines, so I'll say bye for now.

Hi Annie, Im not a newbie but there is an English speaking chatroom, although it is sometimes empty so you need to keep a look out to see when some people are in there.

Just trying this out, saying hi. I'm a brand new member and this seemed like a good place for a newbie to pop in and say hello. I tried the English chat room but no one ever seems to be in there at the times I pop by. Are there times when the chat room is more likely to have people in it?

Also wondering if the only way to get to know people is by becoming a paid member. I had thought to try out the free membership first and get to know it......but now I'm wondering if the paid way is the better way? Any comments/advice?

I'm also new & trying out the different threads. I was in the chat room a couple of times earlier today, & posted something, but the page kept closing on me, & I had to keep logging on - tried 4 times & finally gave up. Others were there, buy no one said anything. Maybe I'm doing something wrong.
Oh well, nice 2 c so many newbies like myself.
