It was quietly beautiful,
how the evening sun
played through her auburn hair,
and how the changing light
painted her eyes
a softer shade of brown.

"I love to watch the sun set,"
she breathed in,
counting one by one
each star as it woke from its sleep.
"It's God's gift at the end of the day,
a reward for those who choose
to see the beauty of it all."

"It certainly is," I answered, "I have
always stopped to look..
..always."

"And here you are."
