If you’ve never been lonely if you’ve never been blue
You have no idea you haven’t a clue
It stops you from working it hinders your play
There’s nothing it’s good for just gets in the way

Friends try to help but they don’t get the point
At the end of the day your alone in your joint
The blackness slips in and stays all-night long
You just want a place you feel you belong

You want to be loved by someone who cares
It’s no mistake that Noah had pairs
To sit all alone is such a great shame
you just need somebody to sit in the frame

I may not live just down the road
But I am willing to help lighten your load
So call on me in your hour of need
And your poor heart I’ll try to feed

My care and my love I hope will be felt
And maybe your heartache will start to melt
For here in my heart I know this is true
Here as a friend I do love you

Another terrific poem! With a heartfelt message...I really enjoyed it.

It made me think of this quote....

"A friend who is far away is sometimes much nearer than one who is at hand”
― Kahlil Gibran
