Musical taste by years

So there comes a point or year that we seem to tune off or cut out the next generation of music because we just don't like it or it's just not us. Wondering what year is the cut off year that you listened to new music. A friend of mine can't seem to get past the 90's and really doesn't listen to any music past that point.

For me it isn’t the year but type of music. I have never been into Acid Rock, Heavy Metal, or Rap regardless of the year. But Soft Rock, CW, Jazz, Hip Hop, Rhythm and Blues, and even Classical music has no cut off year. At least not yet. I still enjoy it all.
