your heart
now lay shattered
and strewn across
the floor

a hundred-thousand
tiny mirrors
of who
you were before,

the tears
spilled down
in drops and streams
not knowing which way
to turn

the bitterness sharply
passed your lips
and the ache
became a burn,

so you inhale
your insecurities
with hope to
calm the pain

to dust away
this broken heart
and mend
what still remains,

you rise to see
the nakedness
as you slowly
undress your soul

to starve
your fears
and love again,
may fill
this empty hole
Very deep...I had to read it twice and will probably read it many more times. Thank you for the words you so heartfully put together.
Thank you, rainy. It really means a lot coming from someone as talented as yourself.

And you're right, they are just words put together that probably some can relate to. I am no poet nor writer, and will never claim to be.

Thank you for the kind words.

Aww, shucks, Jay...you're welcome
Wow That was some poem. Your poems are always so heartfelt and the words last with me a long time. You are very talented my friend.
as you slowly
undress your soul

to starve
your fears
and love again,

I love how these words "as you slowly undress your soul" and "to starve your fears" paint such an incredibly physically drawn picture.Well done.
Thank you, jersy, App.
